My goal in this project is to dispel the fear people have of an EV that runs out of factory warranty, at least where the HV battery is concerned. I fixed my partner's 2005 Prius battery five years ago and I was eager to see if I could do the same on a car with a real battery like the Volt.
EV drive 40 to 44 miles is like dream, 16 miles on gas is little rough. expect some vibration of steering and different noise from car when it is on gas. Build quality is exceptional and absolutely smooth and quite ride. I fill 9 gallons gas at every 1500-2000 miles once in a month. The concept of Volt is charge discharge charge.
